On 17 February 2018, during the FERMA trade fair, an official awards ceremony was held at which the competition jury presented the "FERMA Gold Medal". This annual competition is one of the most prestigious of its kind in Poland. It recognises innovative products that have a significant impact on animal and crop production processes. Each nominated product is thoroughly evaluated by the competition jury, with careful attention paid to every aspect of its design and functionality. In this year's edition, the joined the select group of products awarded the "Gold Medal". The system sets new standards in poultry farm production management. The FERMO F-PRO 4 helps minimise production costs while introducing comprehensive automation to poultry farms. A large touchscreen display and remote access to system functions from anywhere in the world via an internet connection are just some of its key features.
The most important functions of the production computer include:
- programmable temperature, ventilation, air inlet and lighting curves
- an advanced sensor system for temperature, humidity, CO2 and ammonia, providing real-time alerts when specified limits are exceeded
- independent control of each of the 4 air inlet groups
- an intelligent weather station that automatically adjusts control parameters to current weather conditions
- a poultry weighing and growth monitoring system
- a feed weighing system for silos
- the ability to configure up to 12 ventilation levels (static, dynamic and mixed)
