Whitewashing trees increases their resistance to low temperatures and protects them from pests. Biovita lime has additives that increase adhesion to the tree trunk.

Preparation

of the solution:

Pour water into the container, then gradually add the lime and stir until it has the consistency of thick cream. 1 kg of lime is enough to prepare about 9 l of ready-made solution, which can be used to protect up to 10 trees.

Rules for whitewashing trees

:
  • whitewashing period: October - April
  • should
  • be performed on a rainless day at positive temperatures

  • of heavy rainfall bleaching should be repeated every 3-4 weeks

Lime can also be used to deacidify the soil on the lawn or in vegetable gardens. The use of lime will eliminate moss and regulate the pH of the substrate for vegetables.

Deacidification:

  • before applying lime, check the pH of

  • The treatment should be performed in autumn after the end of vegetation or in early spring
