A grain dispenser for a silo – also known as a grain dosing unit or wheat dispenser – is a technological solution designed for poultry farms. It enables precise dosing of lower-cost grain into compound feed. Grain dispensers require two silos and are installed on the hopper support of the second silo.
The grain dosing unit allows grain to be added to feed at a rate of between 5% and 60% (for the FERMO F-DOZ dispenser). A cross auger feed line configured in this way can generate significant annual savings because the added grain is considerably cheaper than complete feed. The F-DOZ wheat dispenser can be used with different cross auger line diameters: 56 mm, 75 mm, 90 mm and 125 mm.
