How Does B-Defence Pellet Fertiliser Work?

B-Defence 1 kg soil fertiliser is made from selected plant material formed into convenient pellets. After application, mixing with the soil and watering, the plant material begins to decompose and releases naturally occurring volatile compounds.

This process supports natural soil biofumigation and creates unfavourable conditions for soil pests such as mole crickets, wireworms and grubs. At the same time, the fertiliser supplies organic matter and nitrogen, helping support healthy root development, plant growth and crop performance.

The product can also help maintain improved soil hygiene and reduce conditions favourable to certain soil-borne fungal problems, including root rot.

How to Use B-Defence for Soil Biofumigation

1. Before sowing or planting – spread the fertiliser evenly at a rate of 40–50 g/m². Mix it into the soil to a depth of approximately 10–15 cm, then water lightly to maintain adequate soil moisture.
2. During the growing season – apply evenly between plants at a rate of 40–50 g/m². Where possible, mix gently into the upper soil layer and water lightly.
