Marten is a pest that causes great harm. These rodents attack birds in lofts and chicken coops. The problem with martens very often also affects owners of single-family houses. Especially vulnerable to marten attacks are the roofs and attics of single-family houses. This rodent needs a really small gap to get inside. Once it finds a place, it creates nests destroying the roof insulation. Losses caused by martens are often associated with the need to replace the roof, and the costs reach tens of thousands of zlotys. The marten does not have a natural enemy that would reduce the population of this pest, therefore there are more and more of them.
