Universal controller of electric fence parameters
€162.36
The necessary device for checking the basic parameters of each electric fence: voltage, energy and grounding. Extremely precise and easy to use. Due to the fact that it is a wireless device, you can freely dispose of it.
The parameters are read by applying the metal part of the tester to the appropriate fencing element (depending on which size you intend to check). Therefore, to check the voltage, simply touch the metal component of the device to the electric fence line, then press and hold the button (presser) in order to press it. The display will display information about the value of the fencing's voltage. If it is lower than 2.5 kV, you should check the entire connection, as most likely there was an error on the fence line.
Control of the energy source, i.e. the Energizer, takes place after its separation from the power supply (including battery, accumulator). Then you need to disconnect the fencing line from the Energizer (terminal with lightning) - the connection to the ground line should not be disconnected. After applying the metal part of the tester to the terminal of the Energizer with lightning bolt the device must be reconnected to the power supply. At this point, the tester will indicate the parameter of the energy source. In older types of Energizers, this should be above 4.0 kV, and in newer ones over 7.0 kV.
The last parameter to check is grounding. For this purpose, it is necessary to cause a short circuit on the fence line at a distance of approx. 20m from the grounding. A short circuit can be achieved by making a connection between the live fencing's line and the ground or iron pole that has been placed in the ground. When you apply the metal part of the tester to the ground terminal, the corresponding value will appear on the display. The result should be lower than 0.3 kV, if it is higher the grounding should be strengthened.
