Automatic feather plucker designed for poultry. The ITAL Esterina type plucker was designed for all types of domestic and breeding birds. The machine will nibble wet, i.e. for proper operation, poultry must be properly scalded.
The device works on a similar principle as industrial feather plucking machines operating in slaughterhouses. The carcass should be held by the legs and gradually brought closer to the rotating shaft. On the roller are placed specially perforated rubber fingers, which in contact with the carcass successively tear the feathers from the skin. It should be remembered that before starting work, the carcasses should be scalded in hot water for a few minutes. The water should have a maximum temperature of 55-60oC to achieve optimal operation of the plucking machine. Soaking poultry at a higher temperature can cause the plucker to start plucking feathers along with the skin. The plucking process itself is very delicate, there is no bruising or tearing of the carcass.
The bag is made of steel. The housing is additionally covered with a special powder-coated protective layer, which not only protects against corrosion, but also facilitates cleaning of the machine. The roller, on the other hand, has been galvanized, thanks to which the zinc layer protects it and at the same time prevents feathers from sticking.
The mechanical plucker has a 350-watt motor with a power of 0.5HP powered by a voltage of 220-230V. The motor and all electrical components have been closed in a sealed housing and isolated with other components of the plucker, thanks to which moisture ingress to these elements is prevented as well as the possibility of possible voltage puncture is excluded. The machine has a CE quality and safety certificate.
