The principle of operation of a nipple drinker with a ball is similar to an oblique nipple drinker. In a ball drinker, however, the valve stem is hidden inside the drinker and it is moved by a ball protruding from one side of the drinker mouthpiece. Thanks to this solution, the animal, in order to move the drinker stem, must grab the entire drinker in the jaw.
