Live catch trap for martens, nutria, foxes 90 cm
€75.64
Trap for beavers, nutria or otters; in addition, many breeders use them to catch other larger pests such as wild cats, rabbits or martens and even foxes. The otter cage is live catch, i.e. it does not harm or injure the captured pests. It is a reliable and proven way to get rid of beavers that build dams flooding the fields when we have a problem with nutria, an otter or a fox in a chicken coop or aviary.
The high versatility and effectiveness of foods for otters or even foxes is primarily the result of sufficiently large dimensions of the trap (which amount to 900x300x300mm) and significant durability and resistance of the cage. It is made of durable steel welded mesh with a mesh diameter of 19x19mm and a wire thickness of 1.8mm. The whole has been additionally covered with a protective layer that protects the metal from rust. The cage against otters or even foxes has a dark green color, thanks to which it fits perfectly with the environment and does not frighten animals.
The fox or beaver trap is of a single-entry type with a FAWN type trapdoor - that is, a door closing from the inside. The trapdoor is released only when a beaver, otter or fox lured by bait moves a pressure-sensitive grille inside the trap. A special valve is used on the bottom. which is designed to block the opening of the entrance flap, once the pest has been caught. Thanks to this, the animal is not able to get out of the trap on its own. The hedgehog has an additional inspection door through which baits can be placed and a trapdoor lock is set.
How to set the
trapThe trap should be set by pushing the entrance plate inside (remember to tilt the valve blocking the opening of the door). The plate is gently placed on a rod connected by a simple lever with a bait grille.
The rod will support the raised door until the bait grille moves, caused by a lured beaver, otter or other pest. Then the entrance will immediately close and the valve will block their opening.
Remember to do all activities in protective gloves, so as not to leave a human smell on the cage or bait, which could scare away the pest.
remark: The use of live traps is regulated by Polish law and can only be used in accordance with regulations on environmental protection and animal species protection.
