Smoke candles are also used to disinfect feed silos or transport vehicles.

Before disinfecting the livestock building, animals should be removed from it or, in the case of decontamination of the silo, empty it of feed. Any doors, inlets or windows in the hen house must be tightly closed during smoke. The smoke candle for disinfecting the barn is best placed on a heat-resistant substrate away from flammable materials (minimum at a distance of about 3 m). Disinfection of barns by smoke should be carried out for 4 to 12 hours. After decontamination, the breeder should ventilate the building - for a maximum of an hour.

remark! In the case of disinfecting larger farms or barns, cans should be placed in different places. Then the inflammation should begin with the one that is furthest from the door. When staying in a disinfected room, the breeder should wear a protective mask.
