Otters are particularly fond of fish farm ponds, which is a simple way for them to eat. It is estimated that during the day the otter is able to eat about 2 kg of fish, which is why they expose many breeders to high losses.

Protection of joints against otters is associated with the construction of an electric fencing with appropriate parameters. The above set uses the GARD mains Energizer, which is powered from the 220 V mains. The device generates a pulse with an energy of 850 mJ, thanks to which, with short electric fences, it effectively acts on otters and other pests. GARD energizers also produce a discharge voltage of 7200 V.

It is important that the electric fencing for otters prevents these pests from slipping between the fence line, so it is recommended that the spacing between the levels does not exceed 15 cm. The set includes orange Filinox Polywire in a 500 m spool. In addition to the bright color, which has a deterrent effect on pests, Polywire is characterized by high strength and UV resistance. The cable forms a weave of polyethylene threads and 3 stainless steel wires, with a diameter of 0.15 mm each.

The set of electric fence for otters has been prepared for installation on wooden posts. The set includes 100 pieces of insulators with a wood screw. What's more, the anti-otter electric fencing contains 5 Clip connectors for connecting the Polywire, a grounding pin and a lightning arrester that protects the Energizer from lightning strikes. The whole is ready for assembly and operation. The kit includes a 2-year warranty. The set can be modified at the customer's request.
